Colin Caesar Campbell – Bandidos MC

Colin Caesar Campbell is a former Sergeant-At-Arms for Bandidos MC as well as Comanchero MC. He is best known for his involvement in the events of the Father’s Day Massacre in 1984.

View our full list of Famous Bandidos MC Members.

Colin Caesar Campbell Early Life / Personal Life

Born on 18 July, 1946 at the Mater Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, he is one of 6 “Campbell Brothers” to have been involved in the outlaw motorcycle community at various times.

  • Bull – Phillip Campbell
  • Caesar – Colin Campbell
  • Shadow – Gregory Campbell (died: Milperra Massacre)
  • Snake – Geoff Campbell
  • Whack – John Campbell (died: Injuries sustained in the Milperra Massacre)
  • Wheels

He also has multiple adopted brothers, including Mario “Chopper” Cianter, who was killed in the Milperra Massacre.

From a young age he was interested in hand-to-hand combat, originally taught by his grandfather how to box, and also had an interest in the game of rugby league.

Colin has been married to his wife, Donna, for several decades, they have multiple children. They were last known to be living around the Snowy Mountains region.

Colin Caesar Campbell Comanchero MC

His affiliation with outlaw-style motorcycle clubs began when he joined the Gladiators Motorcycle Club.

Colin, along with his brothers, joined Comanchero MC in 1978. Comanchero MC was led by Jock Ross, a Scottish military enthusiast who had a strong hold over the club and gave himself the title of Supreme Commander. Their clubhouse was based at 65 Harris Street, Harris Park, Sydney.

While in Comanchero MC Caesar was the Sergeant-At-Arms.

A second chapter of Comanchero MC was started in Sydney, the reasoning behind the new chapter has two possible explanations. Either that many of the members were sick of the heavy military-style hand that Jock Ross was holding over the group, or that Jock Ross was sleeping with another member’s wife, which was against the club rules. It is highly possible that it was a combination of the two that led to the split.

In 1982 Caesar moved to the Sydney City chapter of Comanchero MC along with his brothers. This new chapter was led by Anthony Snodgrass Spencer and their clubhouse was at 150 Louisa Road, Birchgrove, Sydney. A waterfront mansion looking onto Sydney Harbour.

Meetings were held between members of the Sydney City chapter and Bandidos USA. It was decided that the Bandidos would patch over the Comanchero Sydney City chapter.

While in Bandidos MC he once again took up the role of Sergeant-At-Arms.

Tensions grew between Comanchero MC and Bandidos MC, coming to a head on Sunday 2 September, 1984 in an event which would later be called the Milperra Massacre, or also known as the Father’s Day Massacre.

Colin Campbell has gained most of his visibility in the public from his involvement in the events of the Father’s Day Massacre.

His brother Gregory “Shadow” Campbell is killed, along with his adopted brother Mario “Chopper” Cianter.

Caesar is shot multiple times and spends several weeks in hospital recovering from the injuries. He leaves hospital and moves to Perth with Donna. They live in Perth for a year and a half before he is found by police and extradited to Sydney.

Colin Caesar Campbell Prison / Crimes

The trial for the Milperra Massacre lasted over a year, with 332 days of evidence, in a case which cost in the vicinity of $11 million. Bernard Podgorski, a former Secretary of the Bandidos turned witness for the state.

On 24 February 1986, Caesar is charged at Waverley Court in Sydney with seven counts of murder, including the death of his brother, Gregory “Shadow” Campbell. He is convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years without parole.

In February 1986 Caesar begins his time in prison. He spends 4 years in Parklea prison before being released. He is housed, along with dozens of other Bandidos Motorcycle Club members in Three Top Wing. His four year stay in Parklea prison was interrupted at one point when he is released on bail for a period of 9 days.

Three years after the Milperra Massacre Caesar Campbell’s brother, John “Whack” Campbell, dies from injuries sustained on the day.

Edward Winterhalder – Bandidos MC

Edward Winterhalder is a former Bandidos MC member, best known for coordinating the patching over of Rock Machine MC to the Bandidos at the end of the Quebec Biker War. Edward is also an author with multiple published works.

Edward Winterhalder Early Life / Personal Life

Edward Winterhalder was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in the summer of 1955. He was given up for adoption the day after his birth and six months later adopted by Warren and Helen Winterhalder, who lived in Hamden, a suburb of New haven, Connecticut.

In 1972 Edward joined the army, where he trained to be a tank turret mechanic at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. He is deployed to a base in Germany next to the town of Kirch Goens, located 100km north of the city of Frankfurt.

It was in around 1974 when he bought his first Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Edward Winterhalder

Edward Winterhalder Bandidos MC

His connections with the Bandidos Motorcycle Club began when he joined the Rogues Motorcycle Club in the mid 1970s and became an associate of the Bandidos. He would hold this association for three decades before finally joining the Bandidos.

In 1997 it was approved for a new Bandidos chapter in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be created. Edward was selected to become the Bandidos President for this chapter.

Within the Bandidos he was known by the name of “Connecticut Ed”.

In 2001 he was sent to Canada to lead the Bandidos MC assimilation of Rock Machine MC, after the long running Quebec Biker War. During these proceedings he was arrested, with the Canadian authorities attempting to deport him. The Rock Machine chapters became Bandidos chapters, but ultimately the assimilation would be seen as a failure over the following years.

In 2003 Edward left the Bandidos and was listed as “Out Bad”. Edward Winterhalder claims that he left the club as he had family commitments as well as a construction business to run and that he simply couldn’t do it all as well as be a Bandido at same time. Another possibility is that George Wegers had recently entered the role of Bandidos El Presidente and that he had a strong idea of how each of the chapters should be run. These ideas conflicted with how Winterhalder wished to run his chapter.

Edward Winterhalder Life After Bandidos

Since leaving the Bandidos he has been involved in the writing of several books, is a producer on multiple television shows, as well as been interviewed as an expert by several different television shows, according to his website these appearances include “Fox News (the O’Reilly Factor with Bill O’Reilly & America’s Newsroom), CNN, Bravo, Al Jazeera, BBC, ABC Nightline, MSNBC News Nation, Good Morning America, History Channel, Global, National Geographic, History Television, AB Groupe, and CBC.”

On his Amazon author profile he claims to be “the world’s leading authority on motorcycle clubs and the outlaw biker lifestyle”.

It has also been suggested that the character of Jax in the television show Sons of Anarchy was based on Edward Winterhalder. However, Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter had said that this is not the case.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels

Chuck Zito is an actor on the tv show Sons of Anarchy, stuntman, former bodyguard and a former Hells Angels MC New York Nomads chapter President.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Early Life / Personal Life

Charles Carmine Zito Jnr. was born on 1 March, 1953 in New York. His father Charles Zito Snr. was a professional boxer, reportedly with a card of 228 fights with 12 losses.

He left school at the age of seventeen, married, and started working manual labor. At the same time he was fighting as an amateur boxer in the New York Golden Gloves tournament, with a total of 4 fights.

To make money he worked as a refrigeration mechanic.

He used his experience in the boxing world to start work as a bodyguard. In 1980 he went on to found his own bodyguard company, which he named Charlie’s Angels Bodyguard Services. It was this company that allowed him to build connections into the Hollywood industry that would later help him transition into roles behind the screen. His clients while running the bodyguard company included the likes of Liza Minelli, Charlie Sheen, Sylvester Stallone, Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke.

On February 6, 1998 he was at the Scores strip club on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with Mickey Rourke and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Mickey Rourke left the table and Jean-Claude Van Damme got into a verbal argument with Zito, which resulted in at least one punch being thrown by Zito. Jean-Claude Van Damme dropped to the ground and the fight was over as quickly as it had started.

In around 1980 he left the Ching-A-Ling Nomads and joined the Hells Angels. He has stated that he originally found a love for the Hells Angels as a child when he grew up watching some of the cult classic biker movies, including Hells Angels ’69 and Hells Angels on WheelsBefore joining the Angels he had already spent several years around many of the New York chapter, including the President, Sandy Alexander. He hung around the club and helped to paint their motorcycles.

In 1984 he became one of the founders of the Hells Angels New York Nomads chapter.

He left the Hells Angels in 2005.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Prison

From 1985 through to 1990 he was sent to prison on charges of drug conspiracy. The case stated that he made a phone call to someone who was selling a very large quantity of methamphetamine.

At the time of his arrest he was on tour as a bodyguard for Bon Jovi in Japan. He was locked in a Japanese prison and extradited four months later, spending time in 19 different prisons over the 5 year sentence.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Stuntman and Acting Career

It was Chuck’s work as a bodyguard to the stars that helped to break him into the acting world, as he had built up a network of celebrity clients.

In 1979 he appeared in a scene with his Harley Davidson, this was his first taste in film.

He found work as a stuntman, with credits in many Hollywood hit movies including:

  • The Last Boy Scout (1991) – starring Bruce Willis
  • True Lies (1994) – starring Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • Mallrats (1995) – starring Ben Affleck and Shannen Doherty
  • The Rock (1996) – starring Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery
  • Eraser (1996) – starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

Throughout his career as a stuntman he was also able to find minor acting roles, mainly playing tough guy security guards or the biker role. The first role was in the movie Dead Ringer (1991), where Meat Loaf starred as the leader of a motorcycle club.

One of the more famous earlier roles was in the movie Carlito’s Way (1993) where he played a bouncer, which is course is best known for starring Al Pacino, but also starred Sean Penn, who had known Chuck Zito from his bodyguard days.

In late 1997 he had a big break when he was cast in the popular prison television series Oz, where he played the role of Chuckie Pancamo, a tough guy Italian enforcer.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Sons of Anarchy

His interactions with the tv show Sons of Anarchy started well before he played a small role in front of the camera.

He claims that in 1998 he developed the idea for a television show about an outlaw motorcycle club and believed that the FX Network, the creators of Sons of Anarchy, had stolen his idea after he pitched it to them in 2004.

In 2010 he filed a lawsuit against the FX Network for $5 million for damages, however the case was ruled against him in late 2011.

In a strange twist, he then went on to appear in the show Sons of Anarchy, in season 5 where he played the character Frankie Diamonds.

Heathens MC is a one percenter motorcycle club believed to have been founded by Dannie Leroy “Sawgrass” Decker and associates in 2013. They are sometimes referred to as the Heathens Nomads.

The club discussed in this article should not be confused with the Heathens MF (Motorcycle Family), who were founded in California in 1973. The clubs are not known to be connected in any way, other than by the use of the “Heathens” name.

Heathens MC History

Heathens MC was founded by Dannie Leroy “Sawgrass” Decker, a former member of the Outlaws MC.

A large number of the Heathens members are known to have previously been members of other outlaw clubs, most notably ex-members of the Outlaws MC and Black Pistons MC (the Outlaws support club), some of whom have been put “out bad” by their original clubs.

Some members of the club have stated “Family 1st, Job 2nd, Club 3rd”. This is a very different view to that taken by the majority of other outlaw clubs where the focus on the club is a very strong priority. The Heathens state that they are setting a new way for outlaw clubs, setting new priorities with a strong work ethic and that they should not be bound by the traditional “rules” of outlaw motorcycle clubs.

Heathens MC Chapters

No detailed information about the Heathens chapters exist, with many members known to be Nomads.

The Ching-A-Lings use the acronym “CFFC”. This style of acronym is used by almost all outlaw clubs and stands for “Ching-A-Ling Forever, Forever Ching-A-Ling”.

Some Ching-A-Ling patches also show the number “314”, “3” for the letter C (Ching-A-Ling) and “14” for the letter N (Nomads).

In the center of the patch are the letters “FTW”, which is an acronym commonly used by outlaw motorcycle clubs and stands for “Fuck The World”.

There are two versions of the Ching-A-Ling Nomads patch, one with the iron cross in the center, the other with the swastika. Both the iron cross and the swastika signify strong ties to Prussia and Nazi Germany. Despite the nazi paraphernalia the one percenter motorcycle club accepts members of all races.

Freewheelers MC (Motorcycle Club)

Freewheelers MC is a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1968.

There are multiple clubs who use the name of Freewheelers MC. One of the most notable for the purpose of this article are the Freewheelers MC Ireland, who are one of the largest one percenter clubs in Ireland. To the best of our knowledge they are not in any way related to the USA founded club discussed in this article.

Freewheelers MC History

Freewheelers MC was founded by a group of friends in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois in 1968. The original club members had a variety of motorcycles including Honda’s, BSAs, Nortons, Triumphs and a single Harley Davidson motorcycle.

In the early days of the club they attended a bike show in Chicago. At the show they came across another club who were also using the name Freewheelers, completely by coincidence. The two Presidents built a friendship and decided to merge their clubs.

The club that was founded in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago was the larger of the two clubs so their patch was retained for use by the combined club.

Multiple members of the west chapter then patched over to the Hell’s Henchmen MC.

The west and northwest chapters then had a disagreement and decided to split. The west chapter then formed a new club, the Devil’s Ushers MC, who then later patched over to the Hell’s Henchmen MC. The former Freewheelers members within the Hells Henchmen Motorcycle Club then formed the Hell’s Henchmen Chicago West chapter.

Over the years some members came back to the Freewheelers, forming a single large chapter. This chapter then split again, reforming the west chapter after the 1999 death of long-standing Northwest President “Hot Dog”, taking some of the northwest members with them.

The are an ally of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.

Wino’s Crew MC (Motorcycle Club)

Wino’s Crew MC is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in Fort Worth, Texas in 1996. The founding members were former members of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club, who left the Boozefighters due to internal disputes.

The name “Wino’s Crew” links directly back to the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club founder, “Wino” Willie Forkner, who by this time had fallen out with the Boozefighters and had stood down from his role as Boozefighters President in 1993.

Wino’s Crew MC History

Boozefighters MC National President Gary “Batman” Rye had been working on a plan for the Fort Worth chapter to purchase their clubhouse, as they had put significant work into it. Gary “Batman” Rye together with Doug Baron held the trademark for the Boozefighters name and logo.

At the end of 1995 Gary Rye died and the National chapter of the Boozefighters decided to aim to incorporate some parts of the club, with a plan to sell stock. This was a plan that Boozefighters Founder, Wino Willie Forkner, as well as key members within the Fort Worth chapter, was against. Wino Willie Forkner no longer had a say within the Boozefighters.

A meeting was held in Mississippi where a vote was put to the chapters. The plan to incorporate was voted in.

In 1996 five members were expelled from the Fort Worth chapter (Chapter 69) of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club. It had been alleged that they had been taking drugs, however they were not presented with an opportunity to clear their name before being thrown out of the club.

Many other members within the Boozefighters MC Fort Worth chapter were watching these events take place and decided that they would walk too, the result was 25 members leaving the Fort Worth chapter.

Together they formed Wino’s Crew Motorcycle Club in 1996 and moved to a new clubhouse with the blessing of Wino Willie Forkner.

Famous” Harry would become the President within the club, he passed away in 2002. Byron “Scooter” Lawing was the Vice President, who passed away on 2 September, 2004 only weeks after suffering a stroke. ”

One of the members of Three Roads MC shoots Night Wolves member Valery Bely with a rifle, killing him. The suspected motive is that the Night Wolves Motorcycle Club did not want any Russian motorcycle clubs to align with groups from the USA. “Bandidos Zelenograd” patches were discovered as part of a police search of the clubhouse after the fight. Tri Dorogi MC member Yuriy Nekrasov is later charged. The Night Wolves Vice President Aleksandr Benyush said they were not going to take revenge on Nekrasov. “He is not our enemy. Our enemy is the ideology that the Bandidos MC and Mr Nekrasov fell victims to”.

2015 – April/May, 2015. The Night Wolves attempt to ride to Berlin, Germany to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the allied forces victory over the Nazi forces. The government of Poland refused the club entry into their country and the German government cancelled their visas.

A report presented by Russian opposition member Alexei Navalniy claims that between 2013 and 2014 the Night Wolves Motorcycle Club were granted 56 million rubles (approximately $US1.1 million) by the government. The grants were used to present shows that had a general anti-western theme. The Moscow Times newspaper reported “A show staged by the Night Wolves in 2013 featured a character representing the Statue of Liberty kidnapping Russia’s snow maiden, Snegurochka, in an attempt to ruin Russia. The show ends with Russian forces triumphing and the hero proclaiming in a poem with apparent religious undertones that the country will defeat its foes no matter how hard foreign believers try”.

2015 – October, 2015. The Moscow Times reports that the Night Wolves Motorcycle Club have received a grant of 12 million rubles (approximately $US190,000) to build a “Patriot” youth center in Sevastopol in Crimea.
